Welcome to Australian Marine Enterprises

Australian Marine Enterprises was formed in 2008 when a group of Shipwrights and a Marine Engineer came together in the form of a co-operative to service Vessel owners in the South East Queensland region and beyond. These tradesmen were the core labour force and owner behind the highly successful refit and repair company “Blackline Shipping”. which was sold in 2006.

The directors have combined experience in the marine industry of 150 years, working on all styles of vessels, including sail, power, timber, glass and all aspects of marine engineering.

The group banded together to help Jessica Watson back on track after her collision with a cargo ship in 2009 prior to her world record breaking solo around the world voyage. This is typical of AME’s can do approach and they could all relate to Jessica, having the same philosophy toward her daunting but challenging trip.

In the few short years since it’s inception AME has worked on many iconic vessels from both Australia and around the world. Both racing and cruising boats alike have come to the Gold Coast City Marina and had everything from small running repairs to major re-construction works carried out by Australian Marine Enterprises.

AME provide commissioning work for both importers and new boat owners on vessels with pedigree’s such as: Alaska, Hampton, Grand Banks, Catana Catamarans, and Fontaine Pagot Catamarans.

Australian Marine Enterprises have tradesmen capable of all areas of Marine Fabrication, specialising in Timber, Composite and an extensive Stainless Steel Fabrication workshop.

If you have a vessel, anywhere between 20 and 200 feet and require any scope of work done or even a question, why not give the highly qualified marine experts at AME a call.
